WHO WE ARE
Teresa de Freitas, CEO
Teresa de Freitas is an experienced Company Secretary with a strong connections to the UK and Guyana. She holds an LLB in Business Law and is a qualified Chartered Secretary in the United Kingdom. Teresa’s experience spans both publicly listed companies on the London Stock Exchange and privately-owned groups. Her extensive knowledge of corporate governance, combined with her commitment to compliance, ensures that Star & Key operates with the highest standards of integrity and legal adherence.
Teresa started her career with Virgin Management Limited, where she formed part of a team that provided company secretarial services to the Virgin Group of companies. Teresa's career later took her to Tullett Prebon plc, a FTSE-listed Inter-dealer broking company, and to Lancashire Group, a FTSE 250 company specialising in short-tail, specialty property re/insurance, with operations in both Bermuda and London.
In early 2020, Teresa founded Star & Key. Initially based in Mauritius, Star & Key has expanded its operations to London, Malta and Guyana.
